New Additions to Stash!

I ended up going to that shop I mentioned last Saturday. But it wasn't as grand as I had expected. I didn't like the employee at all, she had a snobbish attitude, yuck!
I did get some new stash though, three balls of Estivo yarn color 30 and two balls of Estivo Print in 204.

I also got two skeins of Phildar Kid Mohair in Bengale at my local shop this week.

This weekend I will be participating in the Blogathon with three of my friends over at my domain. We'll be blogging once every half hour for a 24-hour period. Anyone who's willing to sponsor us can sign up here. The charity we picked to blog for is The Great Bunny Escape 2006 and all donations will be made directly to them. I'm very much looking forward to the event and hope we'll have a lot of fun. So far, our sponsor total is $90, I never expected to raise that much, so it already is a great succes.

New Shop

I've discovered a new craft shop not too far from my home! I've seen pictures and it looks amazing. The only problem is that it's closed on Monday and Monday just happens to be the only day of the week that I'm free to do some shopping. So I'll have to wait a while to explore.

As for the IHS, I'm on my eleventh repeat. Yes, I haven't really done a lot, because I simply don't have much time. I really can't wait for September, when I'll have a three week vacation. I've never needed it more.

IHS Pictures!

I'm knitting it on an European size five needle. The purple skein is from OnLine Paloma, 55% Bri-Nylon, 45% Acrylic, the multi color one is from Wendy Double Knit, 100% Acrylic.

I've just finished my sixth repeat on the Irish Hiking Scarf. I've chosen different colored yarn, all kinds of baby colors, mixed with a skein of light purple/lavender. I'll post pictures here and on the KAL blog soon.

New Blog, First Post!

Welcome to my new knitting blog. Crafts seem to be really big over here at blogger and eventhough I have my own domain, Glim.org, I decided to start a knitting blog here. It seems easier to keep things organized like this.

I'm a twenty-four year old girl from the Netherlands and I've started knitting again last October. My mother taught me the basics as a kid but after she put the needles away, so did I. I'm kind of bummed about the fact that I've only localized one cool knitting supply store in my area. I need more diversity! LOL. And of course there is no way for me to purchase supplies online (no debit/creditcard etc.). So I must do with a limited stock.

I am not a fast knitter and I'm currently very busy with work, so don't expect many updates soon. Today I've cast on the Irish Hiking Scarf and I also hope to give felting a try in the near future, if I can find some good wool at my shop.
